There’s always something to watch. Even if you’re ‘laid-up’ post op. and the only window on the world you have is literal. This Brambling was on the feeders here at Falcon Cottage at the weekend.
Excellent post. I once had a brief spell in hospital, and I started a “birds seen from my hospital bed” list. I could only see a patch of sky through the ward window, so they were all fly-overs. Nothing as good as a brambling, but it certainly helped pass the time. As you say, there’s always something to watch. Hope you’re soon fully recovered and up and about again.
I am thanks Malcolm. I usually prepare posts for publication in advance. As a result I’m up and about now thank you. I just hate being tied down by something.

Hi Carl,
Just typical !! even when your laid up in bed you still end up with cracking photo’s.
Just thought we would drop you a line and wish you a speedy recovery.
Best Regards
Mick & Glenda Hillsley
Thanks to both of you. Up and about and back to normal now so up to my usual mischief!
