Early Bird

Last week we had a small bird skulking around in bushes. It wasn’t until we paid it a little attention did it reveal itself. A Chiffchaff. A harbinger of spring? I do hope so … but I’m doubtful. I reckon this mild winter might just have a sting in its tail.

Diamonds

Atrocious weather for the Orchid photographic day here in Norfolk today – but we still managed six species. The air however was full with thousands of Diamondbacked Moths. These small micro-moths appeared on the coast in their thousands from Holme to Northrepps.

Let’s go fly a kite

I tried hard to get this Red Kite in the same frame as the plastic kite. I did it … but not quite the effect I had in mind. #impossiblephotography
