Otter and otter

For the second time in as many weeks we came across a very sociable Otter on tour. This time it was north of the border on our Southern Scotland tour last weekend. Amid a flurry of Goosander we watched this enigmatic mammal catching and eating fish.

Southern Scotland

Over the past few years we’ve been doing tours to see the geese and wild swans of southern Scotland during February. The long weekend tour has been successful. We would normally set off on a Friday and return here to Norfolk on the Sunday. It seems such a shame to get to the area and miss out on some prime birding so in 2019 we will be setting off on Thursday (28th February) and returning on the Monday (4th March) giving us ample time to soak in the avian delights of the area.

I have two places left Full details in an itinerary here

This is an ideal tour for photographers and birders alike. If you have any questions give me a call.

Geese and Goosanders

Our ‘Winter Geese’ tour to the Solway last month once again was enjoyed by all. As well as the usual Green winged Teal that seem to arrive each year we also turned up a Snow Goose among the Barnacles. Some inclement weather didn’t stop us from having a great time and the hotel where we stayed was just magnificent. Next year the tour to the Solway will be geared favourably for the photographer. The ‘Geese and Goosander Tour’ for 2017 is now open for bookings See details here Itinerary – Solway Geese & Goosanders 2017.
