choughs

In Wales a couple of weeks ago the Chough were dancing in the wind over the cliffs and sea. Love the playfulness of these corvids.

Bit of a Chough

We had more Chough on the Wales trip in August than I’ve ever seen in previous years. Could there be a bit of an upturn in numbers do you think? Is this maybe why there have been one or two extralimital records in the UK this year? I guess it’s possible. Any which ways it’s a charming, amusing corvid that I particularly enjoy watching.

Kites and the Like

We had a great time on the ‘Wild Weekend in Wales’ tour in August this year. Next year the tour is in November. We’re going specifically to photograph the Red Kites, Leaping Salmon, Chough and Bottlenose Dolphins. I hope you can come along. An itinerary is available here.

Here are some of the photos of the Red Kites from this years tour.
