Nightjar

In the throws of last Autumn I came across this little beauty. No doubt on migration back to the dark continent. Nightjars are so enigmatic as well as probably having the most cryptic camouflage of any bird.

    Ho ho ho – sent on April 1st I see… Just got back form Hungary – great birding. All 8 woodpeckers including good views of white-backed – will send pic eventually. Hoping my photo of male bearded tit will be my personal ‘photo of the week’. Cheers Neil
