Adders are easier to see from the end of February through to early April when they can frequently be found basking in the early morning sun.
This year I wanted to film a group of Adders but I haven’t had much luck. I did however manage to take this male as he zipped passed me in the bright sunshine.

Walsey Hills was brilliant for Adders, I am talking a few years back mind? On the bank facing the East bank on the sandy patches.
Thanks Dave appreciated. It was all more about being available at the right time rather than location.
Walsey Hills used to be good as you say but since the scrub up the bank was cleared I haven’t seen them there despite looking. I’m sure in time they’ll be back in due course when the scrub regrows.
