Panstarrs and ISON

In the next few days the first of two naked eye Comets during 2013 should become visible in the night skies over Norfolk. Comet Panstarrs should become visible around the 8th of the month in the low western skies shortly after sunset. During the following week the comet will move higher above the horizon and northward fading as it goes.

Originally the forecast was for a spectacular object as bright as the moon but comets are notoriously fickle and Panstarrs is no exception. Things may change however so keep your eyes to the skies in the coming weeks.

Comet ISON however, making its appearance in November, is set to be a once in a lifetime object… but Comets can be fickle.

Here’s my interpretation of how Panstarrs will look in the next few days… maybe!
