Look Low

Looking low to the ground it’s possible to see a whole new world.

The poor acid soils of Norfolk’s bogs hold plants that supplement their diets with an insect or two. I photographed these round leaved sundews last week. They have sweet smelling sticky ‘glue’ tipped lances used to capture the odd fly or two that give the plant the nutrients they cannot glean via their roots.
